This game is great to use around valentines day as children start to show an interest in this.
Simply cut out the numbered hearts and love bugs and then encourage the children to chose a heart to add to the top of their jar and then to add to correct amount of love bugs to represent the number. Great for promoting counting skills and number recognition.
We like to suggest laminating these activities and using them alongside dry messy play to make the experience more fun and engaging. Red rice or red sand are great for hiding the love bugs in. The children can then find and rescue the love bugs and place them in their jars.
